Well now.

My baby proves to me again that she’s right. I shouldn’t care if people know I’ve got a tumblr. I mean if they want to judge then they can go fuck themselves. :)

After a year of no skating and working. Really makes me happy to be back on my skates. I’m progressively getting better each time I skate. This takes me back to the better finer things in life. It really keeps my head straight.

Story of my life. When I skate, I can truly be who I am. Not some up tight military man, some responsible adult, someone who I’m not. I can be me the real me. These words are true to all who understands me, that “this is my freedom, my expression, my skate.” -Franco Cammayo

The Turbo-A was Toyota’s evolution model for Group A touring car championships all over the world which required a minimum homologation run of 500 which were only sold in Japan and was produced between August and September 1988. Some noted differences between the standard Supra and the Turbo-A model are both cosmetic and some mechanical. The engine came with a special head that had less valve shrouding, and clearance cut for higher lift cams. The turbo had a larger inducer, the intercooler had extra rows of pass tubes, the intercooler piping was larger in diameter, and it had a 65 mm throttle body, instead of the standard 7M-GTE 60 mm size. The fuel management used a MAP system, instead ot the standard Karmen Vortex AFM. The front bumper, and the 3-piece spoiler and taillights were used on all Japanese market, US market, and other market vehicles starting in 1989 instead of the typical 86–88 set. The front nose however features an additional “Turbo A duct” to add airflow to the heat exchangers. Also unique was the side decal and rear badging ‘3.0GT Turbo A’ and a black paint job (all 500 are black paint code 202). The engine bay features a 266 hp (198 kW) 7M-GTEU. All Turbo-As also came standard with grey leather interior featuring a Momo-sourced steering wheel and shift knob.

why would you even….i would much rather have a 2.5gt 1J than that old 7m. this must have been a weird time for toyota. when their standard engine could compete with their race engine.

Nah, 1JZs didn’t exist when these were built.
They wouldn’t come to be until 2 years later.

then what was in the 2.5GT?

The 2.5 didn’t exist until 1990.All Supras made up to that point were either 7M or 1G powered.

still rather have a 1J. really though. the 2.5GT was probably just as good as the Turbo-A

Oh yeah, definitely.
The “special” 7M only made 266hp, normal 1JZs made 280hp.The only special thing 7Ms had were their crazy torque.

Life as I know it

Life as I know it.
By Jonayle Incognito

As I sit back and close my eyes reminiscing to the sweet sound of the rain. I look toward the future and feel the comforting warmth crawling through my body soothing my brain.
Smiling at the past throughout all of the hell and shame. I never point fingers towards anyone. Looking, pin pointing, finding the true meaning to my success and failures I’m the one to blame.
Now I must ask a simple question for the future is this. Do I keep fighting? do I give up? All I’ve done was it for nothing or was there a reason to it all? Only time will tell so I sit to the sweet sound of the rain and reminisce.
Life as I know it.
